Gina Salvador Art

The amazing artists at my company setup an artists group among all the coworkers... I joined and in it are people like the famous Ale Garza who does tons of comic book art for things like Spiderman, Teen Titans,  EVE and Witchblade etc.

Other artists are Imario Susilo, Josh Gugiliamo, Wei Ling, Christian Van Meurs, etc. Our group is really big, really talented, and has tons of artistic variety. Every Thursday we gather together in the kitchen and spend our lunch time drawing whatever assignment is tasked to us. 

The first task, was to draw ourselves as "Gorillaz" characters. This idea was proposed by Ale Garza himself. It was fun! I forced myself to only work with a pen and some printer paper. Using a pen is always dangerous because if you don't make decisions carefully you'll make mistakes that you CAN'T ERASE.

I'm pretty excited for this Thursday, word on the street is our next task will be to draw ourselves as our favorite video game character. I'm a massive fan of God of War... so it'll be fun and great to design myself as Kratos, an overly buff, white, tattooe'd dude bearing massive bloody blades of chaos. LOL...
