Poses

Well sadly the effects of my 3 day weekend seemed to have almost completely worn off already. Back to work it is. :/

In the meantime I started watching "Avatar, the Last Airbender" and I have to say... this is one of the coolest cartoons I have seen in a very long while. I enjoyed it so much so that I really want to find some time to draw each character and pay homage to their amazing story.

So I started "Aang" last week and I noticed that I fell into that comfort zone again! The terrible zone where all I end up drawing is boring standing poses... ugh, well after some research from the masters I stumbled upon an amazing artist on one of my favorite online communities.

I am not sure what this guy's real name is but I found all of his poses really really exciting and full of movement and energy. My goal now is to try to start visualizing humans doing more dynamic poses like this talented artist "Kizer" from New Jersey.

I also have a book, rather old actually, called "Dynamic Figure Drawing" by none other than the famous Burne Hogarth. I haven't cracked that book in awhile but now I feel I need to make friends with it again and study even harder. :)

Here's my idea for the main character from "Avatar the Last Airbender"
